Laurie Taboulet, National Sales Manager from Larkmead Vineyards recently made the journey from Napa Valley to visit Osteria Il Centro and talk about the history of Larkmead and, of course, share some delicious Larkmead wines with Osteria Il Centro’s Wine Club Members! Laurie mentioned, “This is my second time in Kansas City. I really enjoy it here and I love the fact that you all enjoy great wines!” She continued to share the history behind several types of Larkmead wines including:
- “Lillie” Sauvignon Blanc ‘16
- Cabernet ‘15
- “Firebelle”
- “LMV Salon”
- “Dr. Olmo” ‘15
- “Solari” ‘15
- “The LARK” ‘14
Established in 1895, Larkmead is one of the oldest vineyards in Napa Valley. Currently under the stewardship of proprietors Cam and Kate Solari Baker, this family-owned vineyard encompasses 110 continuous acres. Bordered by Selby Creek and the Napa River, Larkmead is fortunate to have one of the most diverse soil profiles in all of Napa Valley – resulting in only the finest wines. “Everything produced comes directly from the estate,” Laurie shared.
Osteria Il Centro Wine Club Members enjoyed listening to the interesting history of Larkmead while sampling extraordinary wines along with delicious hors d’oeuvres from Il Centro.
