Since its founding 16 years ago, KCRW has raised over $4.2 million for local causes. Participating in KC Restaurant Week helps support not only local businesses but also three local charities crucial to the metropolitan area. Funds raised this year will go to help support the Visit KC Foundation, the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association, and 2026’s specially selected beneficiary, reStart.
reStart: For 45 years, reStart has been working to end homelessness in Kansas City. Originally established as an emergency homeless shelter, the organization has since evolved to address homelessness from every angle. reStart combines street outreach, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, meal programs, counseling, employment support, and more to help individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
