After a city-wide effort by more than 200 restaurants, the families of fallen Firefighters John Mesh and Larry Leggio received a donation check for $123,000 at a special event downtown.
Brent Wittrock spoke with 41 action news at the presentation, along with sincere and heartfelt comments from Manny’s owner David Lopez.
Thanks to our incredible customers and dedicated staff, we were able to make a contribution of $15,230 in support of the “Dining for Heroes” fund established by the Kansas City Restaurant Association.
The donation was raised through a 10% contribution on all restaurant sales on October 17th.
The Minsky’s Pizza, eggtc., Night & Day Gourmet and Osteria IL Centro restaurant families offer sincere condolences to the families of Firefighters Larry Leggio and John Mesh.
